Geographic distribution of 24 major tree species in the Mediterranean and their genetic resources

COST action FP1202 consortium, 2017. Selection of relevant species: species with extensive distribution and MaP populations at the leading and rear edge, being extensively sampled and studied with neutral genetic markers. Arezzo, Italy

WG2 metadatabase includes information on geographic coordinates, conservation status, type of marginality and type of genetic markers used to study the genetic variation of populations studied for nine target species:

COST action FP1202 consortium, 2017. An expert-based database of marginal and peripheral forest tree populations in Europe and near-neighbor countries. Arezzo, Italy

This expert-based database of marginal and peripheral forest tree populations in Europe and near-neighbor countries. It is intended at providing information on the location and management of marginal and peripheral forests in Europe and near-neighbor countries. It is also intended as an addition to the statistical approaches used by WG1 (geographic information system and climate based approach) and WG2 (analysis of marker and adaptive trait data) of the COST action. It is finally intended as a a way to raise awareness of various stakeholders of the importance and diversity of marginal and peripheral forest tree populations and an incitation for stakeholders to consider them in sustainable forest management.
